Why Less is More in Mobile Advertising 2012
Yesterday we submitted the mobile apps we had created to mobile advertising 2012 to test the amount of clicks we would get. Here’s a video charting our progress at the end of yesterday. WATCH VIDEO INSIDE…
Our mobile app, journalism app course finder, received 63 clicks per six thousand impressions and the total ad spend was just $7. That’s a very good score for a quick paid test of how the app could do.
The important things with mobile advertising are these:
1) WRITE A KILLER HEADLINE that will get the click.
We feel we did this on this app test in mobile advertising 2012.
OUR HEADLINE AD WAS “WHY EVERY BUDDING HACK WILL WANT THIS…”
This headline created mystery and intrigue, and to those who probably consciously wanted or were thinking of becoming a journalist, it probably made them want to click the ad.

Mobile Advertising 2012: THE FACTS
Because, if you target too many, you’ll end up with the wrong type of clicks. Less clicks is actually better than more, because it means you have targeted the right traffic flow for those who maybe likely to download, or buy the offer.
Mobile advertising is still fairly new, and so you have a real chance to receive a lot of targeted clicks if you do it right. Follow this basic blueprint, and you will see improvements in your campaigns.
We are now going to work on creating a mobile landing page for this app, with the promotion video we created a couple of days ago, to test this, and to see if this can be effective in promoting and getting clicks and more importantly downloads on mobile.
Hope this was useful..
