On Content Marketing is Exploding at SXSW
Hey Robin, great article. I think lowering the barriers to entry will produce mixed results.
On one hand, it's great that everyone can now easily have their voice heard. This has never been available to the masses like today. Everything, everywhere can now be recorded and blogged about.
Unfortunately, the overall level of quality has most definitely dropped due to the massive volume of new authors. There won't be any shortage of content anytime soon.
They key will be finding a way to apply standards and ratings to curators. Naturally, most of this will be sorted out by the market but it would helpful to have some sort of organization to provide basic guidelines. Creating some sort of independent rating system would be great.
Do you think something like that could work?
