On How Google Glass Will Change Our Lives

Thanks for the comment Juan.  Agree with you 100% that there will be some overwhelming aspects to it.

Sometimes I do wonder if the true issue is the fact that WE have problems with managing all of the data.....not the technology itself....

On How Google Glass Will Change Our Lives

Google Glass will allow Google to have such amazing, rich set of data.  Don't you think that in itself will speed up the cost to lower and maybe allow people to get paid to wear them sooner than later?

On How to Use Video for Social Media in B2B Sales

Great post!  Agree with you 100%.  Having a purposeful, short, attention grabbing video with a call to action is a must if you want to be successful with B2B vids.

Also, have you ever heard of B2B Company's sales reps using a service like BombBomb for Video Email?  Seems to have a high open rate...

On ViDEO: The Magic of LinkedIn for Executives -- from SalesChaosTV

Great info as always guys.

Execs are super busy. Fortunately and unfortunately most only think about one thing..... increasing revenue.  One of the ways we have gotten our busy execs to utlize LinkedIn is by making list of the our  top 200 prospective target accounts then diving in and finding the links to the executives at those companies.  We basically "tee up" the links and a somewhat custom message that our c-levels can send out one after the other.

I think it says a lot when you have the CEO of one company reaching out to the other.....especially while the sales reps are working on deals.

On Ten Do's and Don'ts of LinkedIn

Awesome post!  I will surely share this with our sales team.

Also, I think the Twitter updating into LinkedIn function is not an option anymore?  (the reverse is still able)

On ViDEO: Questions, the Other Side of Social Media -- from SalesChaosTV

Brilliant idea using LinkedIn Polls as a part of the sales process.   The natural self-centeredness human nature allows polls to slip in as a non threatening way to communicate.  Like Todd said....youre getting info and possibly a connection!  WIN WIN.

My experience with LinkedGroups are also very similar.  The industry ones in my space are full of spam, aggressive sales people and recruiters.  Ive been pushing my people to join groups outside of LI like Quora and Focus and to think very strategically when it comes to joining internal LI groups.  (all of them have upgraded accounts).

On We’re half way through the year – so has the digital agenda changed?

Great post and content! I know that we are excited to see what Salesforce does on the social side of things in particular.  Salesforce's Chatter, Chatter Plus, social search capability for companies/ people and the integration with LinkedIn are a great start.  I can foresee more livestreaming data, video, social monitoring tools integration and content development in the future.  Before long, the companies that have  developed and given the BEST content as well as built the strongest relationships will win out!

On ViDEO: The Content Dilemma in Social Media -- From SalesChaosTV

Just shared the video with my network without watching.  JK.

Pretty strong words from the guy above eh?  Me personally, I find that your videos are VERY informative, fun to watch etc etc.  Id honestly rather watch you guys talk then read a long article.  Its also smart on your part as im sure these are optimized through search, links to both your businesses can be found as well....."thought leadership" concept = one of the many new ways to sell.    You never know who may see this stuff.

My addition to this convo is this..

Im more of a currator than creator BUT i think you should consider the 10:1 ratio rule (or the same concept)  For every 10 pieces of content you share, make sure 1 of them is created by YOU.  As people start to trust your judgement on the awesome content you share, you can then sqeeze in your own, a call to action or the like in the middle of it all.  We can only create so much ourselves but when you use others content as added value to your personal brand, it seems to work.

Enjoy your weekend!

On ViDEO: Social Media Channels for Selling that AREN'T Facebook or Twitter – from SalesChaosTV

i agree with you Todd.  The app is pretty badass.

Kind of continued from the video...and reply...

Can you imagine a company with 100 sales people all affecting the search results of their own prospective buyers?  How powerful would/ will that be?  I think its stupid when people say this.... buts its truly Sales 10.0.

On ViDEO: Social Media Channels for Selling that AREN'T Facebook or Twitter – from SalesChaosTV

Great video as always guys.  Your conversation definitely makes you think "outside" the typical Twitter and Facebook channels.

I'm a Social Media Manager at a B2B Technology company here in Orlando. I have been teaching my sales reps to also think outside of the Twitter/ Facebook box, to go where the customers are, taper messages specifically to their prospects and to monitor the landscape.

We've been using Sprout Social and SocialMention.com to find out where the convos are, then interjecting ourselves into the convo....connect across multiple channels.....and slowly build that relationship.  80 cold calls a day will never work again.

We've also had great success so far with Google+. It seems not many people are "prospecting" there yet coupled with people trusting Google with their information so theres more info for the taking.  We also love the fact that you can have an industry specific Hangout, record it....and optmize it on Youtube.  Awesome.

Keep the great video coming.
