I agree with you on the chit and chat aspect of facebook Kent. I do believe however, that facebook's lax environment is what makes facebook so popular amongst the consumer/average person. Leads are more likely going to come from Twitter and Linkedin but the consumer thrives off of social media platforms similar to facebook. Businesses should adopt a facebook relationship to communicate with their prospective consumers rather than trying to generate leads. What makes facebook capable of standing above any other social media platform is their ability to adapt as well. If facebook can pull it together and create a more sophisticated social playground where businesses can earn a profit flawlessly, then facebook will dominate completely in my opinion.

Absolutely. I think that if Facebook plays it smart and makes everything that Amazon does wrong better, you are going to see a major event occur.

You are absolutley right. Why should the government be any different than the rest of us harvesting information? My thought is really this: does it really matter if my information is kept a secret? Does Goole have that much information in its vaults that everyone on this planet should be concerned for their privacy? I am only a small piece to the universal puzzle but like everyone else I want to believe that I matter. Will I ever be someone who moves the world? Probably not. I would like to believe that even though I don't have much, I should have the right to remain private and watch and read whatever i choose without there being someone able to look over my shoulder.
