Hey Meredith, I'm all for zippy and attractive to be sure! As I mentioned in the post, I'm not sure Facebook's adoption of hashtags will be a game changer for this practice, since page titles are not (currently) interactive. Maybe how they render rich snippets will change too? We'll see!

Agreed. My fear is that we are approaching a content bubble - consumers are becoming highly aware that they are being marketed too and may become desensitized to all content with thinly veiled commercial intent (infographics, interactives, videos, etc.).
