On Why the Super Bowl’s Social Media Command Center Scores a Winning Touchdown

Corey - 48,000 is the number of the direct audience which is calculated by Facebook fans and Twitter followers. This does not account for the amplified audience. That audience, which I believe is the number you're looking for, was estimated between 800,000 to 1M unique impressions a DAY.

On Social Media In, Common Sense Out

Hi Chet, thanks for your comment and positive feedback! My days at AOL taught me that YOU are just as much responsible for your online privacy as much as the application is. I think people assume that privacy will take care of itself, but we still need to ensure that we continue to maintain personal responsibility for our own privacy as well -- just as you said. See you in the tweeties!!! Elizabeth

On 7 Confessions of a Social Media Addict

@Joy thanks so much for commenting! I'm glad I could make your day. Sad, but true... this really is how I am. BUT, at least I admit it, right?? In any case, I look forward to seeing you in the tweetie clouds... and at the end of the day, my purpose for writing this post was to make people smile, so I'm glad it did for you. Personally, I had a LOT of fun writing it... and had a LOT of "Oh, snap! I do that?" moments. Best! Elizabeth

Hi there, thanks for the feedback! I had so much fun writing it. To answer your question, I'm paying attention to the HTC 4G in the news; however, I personally won't be using it... I wasn't kidding when I said I would have my Droid Incredible's babies... I LOVE IT. Plus, the HTC 4G is with Sprint... and I don't do Sprint :)

On Is there any point to doing Sentiment Analysis?

Great article... and your thoughts made wonder if you happened to catch this recent post on ReadWriteWeb regarding IBM's move to use emoticons in social networks, RSS and tweets as a way to analyze emotional context and build predictive analytics.

On 7 Confessions of a Social Media Addict

@Mike -- Along with what you said, I also admit my need for instant gratification fuels my addiction to social media as well. I think the phrase "everything in moderation" is very much under-applied and under-taught. Thanks for your comment!

Don't be ashamed! I think the important thing to remember is that there is a balance between virtual and real life. :)   And if you are ashamed, then what I am to be!! :)

I've had a couple of others comment that they don't fit into the Confession #7 category. But I think Science Fiction can easily be swapped out for another genre, don't you?
