On 5 Social Media Networks That Failed to Catch On
Completely agree Michael. Their active user numbers are certainly questionable, and it doesn't seem to have caught the attention of the mass market yet - just look what social channels most brands/TV shows etc. are using - it's not G+!
It's a shame as Google has so much data and power, it really has the potential to make something great - unfortunately they just seem to take the copycat approach. Until they really innovate and create something truly different from its competitors, I'm sure they will be seeing another flop like Google Buzz and Waves.
