Thanks Joe ... You make some great points in your comment. I do believe as well that consolidation of some sorts will happen in the social networking world and people will probably have the capacity to just keep up with a few popular ones only. Also apps and services that consolidate these social networks into one place for the user will become more popular and an interesting recent addition to this vision is Windows live Messenger. Another great example of an app that is specific to a device platforms is flipbaird for ipad that gives a completely different viewing experience to your social media feeds.

hey Dave ... I couldn't agree with you more. Getting comments is a big thing for bloggers and nothing really replaces it. I do feel that twitter is great at driving traffic and exchanging quick ideas but sometimes it may steal you of a chance to make a great post. Makes you feel one sentence on twitter could have made a topic for a great blog post.
