On Why Google Should Buy Pinterest

Absolutely, Brad. It really makes perfect sense if G will acquire Pinterest, Pinterest should establish itself on mobile soon if it wants to make more progress and monetize through ads.

On The Power of Reputation: The Brian Solis Effect

Totally agree with @rohnjaymiller with this: "Some people immediately re-tweet the SMT tweet without reading the article because they want to raise the quality of their own Twitter feed."

This is where the value of hashtags is at work, Brian Solis' posts are always related with all things social, so people or bots will auto-RT every post without even actually reading it. IMHO, it's one content curation method that is a double-edged sword. For instance, if a bot retweets a post about Facebook or Pinterest, that article might contain useful tips or a simply an article where people are complaining about their privacy or copyright issues. So while auto-retweet tools are convenient, curation should be done with human supervision. :)

Hi, Lynn. Appreciate the comment. It really matters how a business owner uses a personal approach to interact with customers and not sounding like a salesman. Customers appreciate a good conversation which will educate them about the product/service you're offering.

Appreciate the comment, Robin. Yes, completely agree with you on that one. We really need text to gauge sentiment analytics, and perhaps, consumer behavior. Photos and vids are simply linchpins to squeeze some user-generated content from customers.

On 5 Ways To Gain Customers Using Pinterest

Appreciate the comment, Brad. Pinterest is really growing fast, which is why I think some copyright/privacy issues were surfacing. The great thing about this platform is that it has a competitive userbase already that companies/marketers could use to reach out to new niches while increasing brand awareness. I used to think that not all social platforms are for everyone but every person has a place on Pinterest because the platform covers one or two of our hobbies or interests.

On Digital Marketing: The Future is Not Pretty for Solo Consultants

Let's admit, social media brought out digital marketers/consultants that capitalize on personal branding who have billions of followers on their social accounts but can't make a simple SWOT analysis for a brand/product. A great digital campaign should be comprised of vital ingredients that doesn't only come from a single mind. Collaboration is always a good thing, it's the very essence of social media.
