Frank - I agree that CONTENT IS KING. That will always be the case. However, that's why I focused on TOOLS that can help you monitor, maximize, master your Twitter content. Being an authentic, engaging, thoughtful, valuable YOU on Twitter (and social media in general) is key. But there is a LOT to learn outside of just pushing content out....
Malhar - Tweetreach is one of my favorite tools! I use it often, really interesting insight to the impact of your tweets. Helps you discern what times, audiences, topics get the most engagement. I love it!
On How To: Make Your Facebook Fierce
Justin, I know 25 not 100 fans for the vanity URL! A while back it was more....wrote the wrong number. Thanks for the heads up! :)
Anonymous - yes, this issue of privacy is becoming more & more important. Unfortunately, to use many apps and tools in social media you have to give access. You can learn more with Facebook for programmers, how to customize this yourself! If you want to take on that endeavor! :)
Erik, yes, 25 followers. Eek, you guys are good! :) I updated it to reflect the current information.
Cheers!
On The Social Media 'Cool Club' - What's Your Online Influence?
Lace, great to hear you are gaining Klout! It is such a new phenomenon - this measure of online influence. I don't think any system is perfect yet, but they are purposeful for some things. I COMPLETELY agree, that is why I included my DISCLAIMER: I don't think you should work to get a better score, but to have better influence. Your score should increase organically the more you immerse in Social Media. :)
Shannon, well don't worry about it, you are probably still cool! I really don't have a great PeerIndex score myself. I think these measurement tools are emerging, changing, and its like a fun game. Keep up the good work. :)
Larry, thanks for the heads up about that tool - appinions - I like it! I am going to use and measure with this now. Appreciate the insight!
Cheers all! :)

About Social Media Today

“Greetings Mary...Appreciate you taking the time to read the article. The short answer to your question is to create a Facebook Page rather than a Personal Profile. However, there are many factors to consider when creating this page. You may find this article of interest. http://www.williamhwells.com/2011/12/19/facebook-business-pages-5-signs-that-you-dont-get-it/Thanks ...”

The channel, in fact, gave its name to the content (TV is a form of distribution but we think of it as a form of content) - or, as per your reference to McLuhan, "the medium was the message". The social media revolution is all about the liberation of content from its means ...”
