According to this infographic, 30% of businesses lack skilled-employees to realize their social media potential. That number is probably understated, although I don’t think that the raw user numbers from social networks are a compelling argument for social media employment or whether businesses should be on social.  I think it does lay out the argument that there is plenty of potential around social media, though.

I’m curious to know your thoughts – is social media the profession of the future? Enough that someone should pursue a degree in the social  media arts? :)
