LinkedIn, the professional social network, continues to steadily expand and increase its presence across the world. At the time of their last earnings announcement, LinkedIn reported that it had hit 400 million members worldwide, a base that provides the platform with a huge amount of data and insights into career progressions, skills gaps and educational opportunities. This week, LinkedIn's reported that it now has more than 20 million users in the UK alone - "almost 60% of the UK's student and working population".
The possibilities of that amount of professional data and insight are huge, and LinkedIn's only now starting to touch upon how they can rationalize their vast troves of information to help people find better jobs, identify better candidates and make more informed career choices.
To mark their UK milestone, LinkedIn's released a new infographic which outlines where the majority of UK LinkedIn members are based, the top skills sought by UK recruiters over the last year and how the platform has grown in the region, amongst other data points.
The full infographic is below - some valuable insights into how LinkedIn's influence is expanding across the globe.
