Or at least those of us in UK marketing are. This is according to a survey by Polylooks, which offers 'royalty free stock photos' (hmmm).
Polykooks found that among UK marketing, PR and publishing professionals:
1 - 81% used an image without paying and didn't feel guilty
2 - 44% download between 1-5 pics a month, while 7% even use 11+ images
To be honest, I'm surprised that this isn't higher, plenty of us use creative commons, but others just rifle around Flickr. Though not a UK example, one of the most notorious cases of Flickr theft comes from a US family whose online 2008 Xmas photo was used to big up a Prague supermarket.
