I doubt there are too many teens that watch Netflix's excellent "House of Cards," or the (criminally under-appreciated) fourth season of "Arrested Development." Yet this infographic suggests that asynchronously-delivered, mass-released content is ideally-suited for digital natives. I tend to agree and disagree: while I agree that it is well-suited to Gen Z, based on my personal preference I think it suits everyone well. As further evidence to this fact, I tried to get into Amazon's original series, "Under the Dome," and found the experience especially underwhelming. It also offers some further insight into how teens consume entertainment content and where there attentions often lie.
What I like about this infographic is that it tries to create a frame of reference from a digital native's perspective. What I also like is that it shows us that despite the differences that we perceive, understand and expect from Gen Z, there are still preferences that we share. Your attention span, for instance...
