For parents, social media adds a whole new world of complexity. What age should you let your child have a smartphone? What do you do about cyberbullying and stalking online? Is it ethical, or healthy, to monitor your kids' online behaviors?
In an attempt to help parents get a better perspective on the impacts of social media, social insights company Qualtrics surveyed more than 1,000 parents of at least one child aged between 8 and 17 to find out what parents are most concerned about in regards to their kids' online activities. The survey found that despite parents being most concerned about the impact of dating apps, and of their child meeting strangers online, overall, most believe social has had a positive impact on their kids' lives.
The findings have been made into an infographic (below) - the full Qualtrics report is available here.
