Here's a quick, but relevant, update. Twitter's going to start showing connected topics on their 'Trending Topics'' listings.

It seems like a fairly minor update, but it could help users get a better handle on the entire breadth of related on-platform discussion, while it may also enable Twitter to remove repeated trends from their listings, giving them more room to highlight other relevant discussions.
For brands, this could help when looking to tap into trending topics. Trendjacking in this way is always somewhat risky, but with an immediate listing of related trends, you may be able to get more context on the wider discussion, giving you more ideas for relevant tie-ins, along with additional hashtags to use in your posts.
For users, having an easy, one-tap option to get all the related tweets could make it easier to stay on top of every angle, better showcasing the breadth of perspectives available on the platform.
We don't yet know the extent of the roll-out, and how much manual intervention will be involved, but it's another Twitter wrinkle to consider as you look for ways to maximize your on-platform messaging.
