As so many of us are already aware, Unthink has challenged FaceBook for Social Media supremacy. This is a huge goal and one I would like to see happen.

On the personal side - it concerns me that my underage children, nieces, and nephews are exposing themselves to years of data gathering long before they are able to make an informed decision concerning the consequences of their actions. The simplest conversation containing what we as adults consider profane language is a right of passed for early and mid age teens. But given the Social Media's lust for creating and saving everything a profile does, we are setting up our children for social collapse.
I realize that while their profiles might be set to a high level of security and strong parental guidance is in place, the market/social/legal/political persona they are establishing will impact their lives for decades to come. When they began to really hit the job market in the next few years; HR's interest is going to become even more pronounced in rooting out tidbits of social faux pa and political ideology as well as medial history.
These children will have an even more difficult time maintaining some form of normal private life due to their actions today.
I don't know how far Unthink will get but for the sake of "Knocking the King off the Mountain" I wish them the best of success and sincerely hope they don't lose their ethical way.
And if you do try to contact me don't bother looking for me on FaceBook, I'm not there. Do it directly at http://blog.johnwilkerson.com
