I am an independent Communications Consultant, Digital Strategist and Trainer. I am also a freelance journalist. I work direct to clients and through agencies in the UK, the Middle East and South East Asia. I work to help companies understand the changing media landscape and through social media channels better understand and engage with their audiences. Here in the UK I have worked and delivered global campaigns for clients ranging from Bacardi Limited, Sony Ericsson and Tatweer to UK Trade & Investment, DTC/De-Beers, Veebeam, Go800 and Intel Capital. Work that was delivered directly to clients or through agencies including Burson-Marsteller, MS&L and IF-Communications. In Asia and the Middle East I have delivered tailored workshops to companies and governmental organisations including Saudi Arabia's Ministry of Health, King Abdullah University for Science and Technology (KAUST), Abu Dhabi Tourism, Du Mobile Communications, Malaysian Biotechnology Cooperation, Astro All Asia Network, BP Indonesia, Holcim Indonesia, Kereta Api Indonesia. I develop and lead strategic corporate communications and sports sponsorship initiatives, and provide in-depth experience of reputation management, digital and media relations and creative campaigning. Social media is not another tool, it is a channel through which brands can develop and communicate with people. Integrated into a brand and company social media can enhance what you say. Outside of work I sit on Council for the UK's Chartered Institute of Public Relations, Chair it's Greater London Group and contribute to it's social media advisory panel.
