Union Metrics has released a new, free app which will assess your Twitter presence and provide insights into when to post (based on audience response), what kind of content your followers are engaging with and which hashtags you should use to boost your messaging.
So what, right?
There's a heap of similar tools on the market. The main difference with this one is that it’s actually being promoted by Twitter itself.

Now, that could mean nothing, there’s only so much the data can tell you either way, and the fact that Twitter’s officially supporting this tool doesn’t necessarily make it a better option. But it might be. And its free, it’s probably worth checking out.
To use the new tool, you simply go here and authorize your Twitter log-in. Once you’ve logged in, you’ll get access to a range of insights based on your Twitter presence.
It’s fairly basic, but there are some interesting data points available – and if you’re serious about boosting your Twitter presence, the more data the better.
As noted, there are other, similar tools on the market like Followerwonk and Twitonomy, both of which are also worth a look, as well as Twitter’s own, in-built analytics. But this new tool can also help compliment your existing data tools, and may provide additional insights.
Given Union Metrics’ new acceptance into Twitter’s Official Partner Program, the data available to them is coming direct from the source, and they note that they’ll be working with Twitter directly to improve the features available within the app.
May be worth a look for those looking to boost their Twitter presence.
